About

Our short film in a modern fable expressed in the horror genre. We see the tale of Joe, a small time office worker, ‘your average Joe’. Wandering the streets of London, Joe carelessly observes an epidemic of homelessness, without feeling engaged or involved. He has no concern for others. When Joe passes by a stranded homeless man in need of help, he arrogantly and rudely dismisses his simple request for aid. Carrying on his day as usual, Joe is soon to find out his actions have consequences. Selfishness does not go unpunished.

Continuing through London, Joe stops off at a local shop on his way home from work. Slowly he starts realising things aren’t as they seem. He begins to feel anxious and unnerved as his life falls apart in front of him. The first event is when he tries to pay for his shopping but mysteriously loses his wallet. Panicked and disoreientated he continues home.

Later that night his situation worsens. As Joe relaxes in his warm house he gets an unnerving email from his work announcing his immediate termination. Fed up nad wanting the day to end Joe tries to sleep, however even this is taken from him as he is woken by an ominous dripping from downstairs…

As this tale begins to take a dark turn, Joe begins to understand the consequences of his actions. Slowly the things he values the most begin to deteriorate in front of his eyes, and there's nothing he can do about it.

With everything falling apart...

Will Joe be able to prevail...

Or is this the end?

“Unlike all the other art forms, film is able to seize and render the passage of time, to stop it, almost to possess it in infinity. I’d say that film is the sculpting of time.”

– Andrei Tarkovsky
